DEFINITION AND GOALS

What is the meaning of FOI? The Fruit of Islam. This is the name given to the Military Training of the men who belong to Islam in North America.

How to be responsible, how to provide for your children, how to take care of your wife, protect, maintain and in general, how to act at home and abroad.

In this class you will be trained to face and fulfill your obligations as a brother and help to shoulder the responsibilities by reproducing the good which the religion can produce in you.

The Messenger of Allah, the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad has worked hard and faithfully for forty-four years to raise the level of our men here, among the lost-found Nation of Islam in North America to one of respect throughout the civilized world.

The Muslim men in the Nation of Islam are respected in America and throughout the world. We owe this thanks to the FOI class under the leadership of The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan.

One of the purposes of the FOI is to teach our men and boys how to be good providers, how to fulfill their roles as husbands and the fathers of future generations.

They are taught how to carry out the highest principles of hygiene, which insures the health of their children, their wives and themselves. Emphasis is placed on cleanliness and high morals.

Also taught are proper dress, posture, mannerisms, attitudes and language. In addition the brother is taught that Allah hates boisterous, loud, rough voices, according to the Holy Qur'an.
